Free E-Mail
Just because you have a free e-mail account with your service provider should not stop you getting a free mail account. I use my free e-mail accounts to sign up to things, just in case I get a pile of Spam. But they are good if you move providers, go traveling, or just want an alternative address.
The E-mail grand-dad, and still my favorite. Easy to sign up,
generous accounts sizes, but unfortunately loosing in the "Cool and
Trendy" stakes these days, after being abused by so
many spammers over the years. Still, they are my favorites
(just call me a traditionalist)
Gmail
Google are very good at giving stuff away free. Gmail has loads of
benefits and, like all google products, it's a very well designed (and
more trendy) email account service
Yahoo Mail
Never to be out done in the Yahoo V Google camps, Yahoo's email is respected, fast and full featured.
FastMail
My personal favorite. Not as many free add-ons as Gmail and Yahoo,
but the best all round free mail service in my opinion. Limited
User-names for guests, but for a low one off annual fee, you get
a heap of mail storage and features, plus a choice of domains
(@xsmail.com,@bestmail.us etc.);
Email Addresses
If we included all the free e-mail services this page would read like the white pages. So, if these accounts don't help, then http://www.emailaddresses.com/ has reviewed and listed hundreds of sites and accounts, sorted by category and features.
